Development of 650nm-wavelength-20-channel laser diode array with narrow pitch

Abstract

Multiple-beam scanning technique is necessary to achieve a high-performance laser printer with high speed and high print resolution. To meet this demand, a laser diode array (LDA), with 20 laser diodes into one chip is developed as the Key Device.The influences of temperature and stress on the characteristics of the laser diodes are examined, and the reliability enough for laser printer application is confirmed.
