Influence of Surfactants on Behavior of Dyes in Reversed Micelles Containing AgCl Nanoparticles
  DOI :  10.2352/J.ImagingSci.Technol.1999.43.5.art00015  Published OnlineSeptember 1999
Abstract

Nanostructured particles of silver chloride (d ≈ 10∼17nm) were prepared in reversed micelles containing the anionic surfactant, AOT or the non-ionic surfactant, Triton x-45(Tx-45). The interaction between silver chloride and dyes, eosin and methylene blue, in reversed micelles was investigated. The effects of the charge on the surfactants and dyes were discussed. The effects of phenylmercaptotetrazole were also examined.
