FAQs

Q.
How do I find a proceedings paper?
A.

You may either search by topic, title, and/or author from the main Digital Library page to find papers within any publication OR you may search directly from the Archiving DL page for any paper published as part of the Archiving Conference.

Q.
What copyright governs papers? How do I get permission to use material from a paper?
A.

IS&T proceedings papers are free to access, but governed by different copyright restrictions depending on the year published.

Generally anything prior to 2016 has an IS&T copyright and permission to use/reprint text/figures must be requested via info@imaging.org. After 2016, IS&T increasingly began allowing CCBY and other copyright options. These are noted on the paper's PDF.

If you are in doubt, please contact info@imaging.org.

Q.
What is the status of the Digital Library
A.

IS&T is currently updating its Digital Library to this new platform. We are refining the navigation and search options. Your patience while we do this is much appreciated, but so is your input. Have ideas for how we can improve the DL? See an error? Send corrections to webmaster@imaging.org.

Q.
How do I cite an Archiving proceedings paper?
A.

For many papers in the DL, there is a direct citation link to copy the citation, but if that isn't available for a paper you want to cite, use:

Author(s), "Paper Title", Proc. IS&T Archiving Conf., Year, pages, DOI: [insert]
