      <abstract>
        <p>The design of Dimatix, Inc.'s M300/10 silicon MEMS based ink jet printhead is presented. The monolithic silicon structure allows compatibility with a wide range of ink types and precision manufacturing techniques produce ink jets with high uniformity. Detailed performance data
 is given on voltage, uniformity and straightness for a population of jet modules. This performance, along with fast dynamic response, enables a wide range of drop sizes in adjustable binary mode. Imaging work is described which correlates final image quality with system error sources and demonstrates
 the M300/10's ability to create high quality UV images.</p>
