        <p>In this article, we propose a hyperspectral imaging system and automatic hyperspectral image processing method to extract the uncoated area of the tongue for the clinical inspection of Kampo medicine (Japanese traditional herbal medicine). The automatic processing methods were built
 based on the analysis of nine taken hyperspectral image. The effectiveness of the method was confirmed by applying to other eight hyperspectral images.</p>
