      <abstract>
        <p>A method for constructing a multidimensional color space transformation look up table (LUT) is presented. The values associated with each node of the LUT are calculated by a weighted sum of known values. Unlike the tetrahedral inversion techniques, this method does not require the tessellation
 of the space. Changing the weighting function can produce LUT's with different properties, and the method has the ability to extrapolate values beyond the gamut of the device.</p>
